Hi everyone!!
2022 has come to an end! So welcome to my yearbook 2022 edition.
What is my 2022 yearbook?
As a lifestyle blogger and lover of all things written, Once a year I want to create a yearbook, like a sort of diary in which I can document the progress that I have made as a blogger, sister, woman, person.
I often find myself regretting my years, because I have the feeling that I’m not doing anything or I’m not getting anything done.
Q1 of the 2022 yearbook
January 2022
Month 1 of the 2022 YEARBOOK: Exam season, Lol, I hardly slept, but I made it through all the exams that were there.
For the first time in 5 years, I passed all my courses from the first try. Most of this month existed out of pushing my limits. I had to work harder than I ever had before, what made it even worse is that I was still recovering from Covid as I was writing exams, but I made it.
February 2022
Just combining studies and business work. Started digging deeper into my business. This is the month in which I had decided I was going to work on business. I was going to push myself to really pursue business as I had always wanted to.
I had started planning and working on a strategy and looking for the right products to launch in May of 2022. With this came learning of new skills and setting up habits that could help me get sales.
March 2022
In March I had decided to take a weekend out. It isn’t something I’d usually do, but I gave myself a break. I went to Rotterdam with a good friend of mine. We had such a blast on that trip, it was a good way to learn how to chill.
Business wise, I just dug deeper into it all. Started planning for the social media platforms of the business by creating the tiktok and instagram page. Follow them if you don’t already ;). Focused on working on a strategy for exposure and growth for both the blog as the webshop.
On a personal level, It was time to heal. Started thinking about how I could heal my heart, from the pain that I had caused it. I knew that I had to take healing in as a part of my growth process, although it was hard to accept that it would take longer than I wanted it to.
And that was it for Q1 of the 2022 yearbook. A very productive Q1, honestly most of my growth that partained to knowledge and planning happend in these first few months, little did I know this was just the beginning of my amazing journey which would be 2022.
Q2 of the 2022 yearbook
April 2022
Work and studies:
Worked the whole easter holiday on my business. Preparing for the launch that is only a month away at this point. I did my first photoshoot ever. With models, creating videos and all in cottage core vibes. I had so much fun taking these pics the best of that shoot you’ll find below:
Activity of the month: Museumdate!
The second thing I did that was special that month is, I went to the museum with my friend Rune. I’ve always loved visiting museums, although I don’t do it often enough, but luckily, I got this one on camera for the most part.
We had a lot of fun, just taking our time walking around the museum and enjoying the various expeditions. It was one of those moments when I realised, you don’t need to go far or pay a lot to enjoy art and have a relaxing day!
Mental health:
I’m still struggling with healing. I realised that there’s more going on than I thought. At this point I had only scratched the surfaceof all the things I had to unpack. I realised that there were a lot of things I should’ve done, that I hadn’t been doing.
On a spiritual note, I was growing weaker, I knew I needed to fast, but hadn’t made it a priority. Prayer life started slowly again, but wasn’t as strong as before.
May 2022
May… My birthday month, always a nervewrecking time of the year, especially this year.
It was filled with deadlines for school, studying for the exams and… Launch prep!!! I cannot express enough how excited I was for this launch! I really enjoyed how well it went and how happy the customers were, although it really was far from perfect, it was such a growth experience for me!
Activity of the month: Cooking
This was the month, I had started focusing on trying new things in the kitchen and exploring all that I could do surrounding it. I was never really a kitchen princess and I’d often ruin the things I’d try to make, but I’m proud to say this moth I allowed it all: the trails, the mishappenings and exploration of new recipi’s, it was a lot of fun!
June 2022
Honestly June is similar to January: Exams and lots of stress, but this time I was also able to rest and prepare for what was ahead.
Resting has never really been my strong suit, but I’m glad that I took June to practice balancing studying and sleeping enough!
Q3 of the 2022 yearbook
This part of the 2022 yearbook is my personal favourite! Summer time! The growth that happened over the summer, just watch and see
July 2022
Honestly over the summer, so much was done! I did My second and third photoshoot for the shop and the images and videos were amazing!
I also went to my very first premiere with my lovely roommate and we had a blast!
I went to my first concert ever and saw Ed Sheeran live and it was one of the most random, but refreshing things I had done all summer!
I spent time with my family at the beach as well! It was a fun day trip for all of us!
Mentally and emotionally I also grew to find contentment within. I wasn’t thinking about all the things that I don’t have, but I chose to focus on what I could do one day at a time!
August 2022
August was quite peaceful, I went on a museum trip with a friend and for the rest I focused on studying for the retakes!
September 2022
Alpha’s graduation: yes, you saw that right, my day 1 graduated from nursing school and became an independant nurse! There are no words that I can write that will show how proud and happy I am for him! He really is living his best life while working as a nurse, a model and a content creator, check out his YT channel and subscribe here.
This was also the month school started again and well… I wasn’t super excited, but I chose to go with the flow of life, rather than living in “what ifs” or “I wish..”
Q4 of the 2022 yearbook
October 2022
I hosted my first party ever!!! I really wanted to organize something that could bring together my two cultures and groups of friends and the best way I thought to do that was by organising a work-friendly home party, which means that the party started at 7 and ended by midnight so that everyone could be home in time for work the next day! This was one of the major events in the 2022 yearbook!
November 2022
Like everyone else, I also have my own bucket list and on that bucket list was “attending a silent disco”. I finally went to a silent disco!! I finally got over my doubts and decided to go! I had so much fun with friends and it is one of those memories I will cherish about my student life!
I also did my first marketing internship ever! It was for a coaching company called Celestial Coaching! If you need coaching btw, those people are the best. I learnt so much about myself and about marketing through this internship! Even though it wasn’t very long, I apply every lesson I have learnt daily.
December 2022
We’re in the last month of the 2022 Yearbook! And man, I closed this year off with a banger!
I went to a childhood friend’s birthday party! This is a guy I’ve known since I came to belgium and to be able to celebrate his 25th birthday with him wazs such an honour! Having the same friends for almost 20 years is sth special to celebrate!
Lol, based on this yearbook it really looks like I go out soooo often, but I’m actually a huge homebody and a little introverted haha.
I spent the Christmas holiday with the family and had such a boost!
I also adopted two pets that I’m not allergic to haha. It’s not a very common pet, but I’m so grateful that I got them:
Meet Ciske and Tarzan
We have officially ended 2022 and I hope you enjoyed this 2022 yearbook! Just know that this 2022 yearbook is a roundup of all the memories I want to cherish for life! I wish you a very happy New year!
